Clear, thoughtful editing for writers who want their work strengthened without losing their voice. I offer line editing and proofreading for short-form creative work — poetry, essays, and short fiction. Each piece receives close, careful attention, edited in Microsoft Word with Track Changes and comments so you can see and weigh every suggestion.
Tier 1 — Poetry
$40 per poem. A close edit of individual poems and short poetic work — word choice, line breaks, rhythm, grammar, punctuation, and unnecessary repetition, finished with a final polish. Designed to strengthen the poem while preserving the poet’s voice.
Tier 2 — Creative Nonfiction & Essays
$120 per piece. A line edit for essays, reflective writing, creative nonfiction, and experimental prose — clarity, cohesion, compression, transitions, and readability — with light developmental notes where needed and a full proofreading pass.
Tier 3 — Short Fiction
$180 per piece. A deep edit for short stories and short fiction — sentence-level clarity, flow, dialogue, pacing, scene movement, and tension — with light developmental guidance on structure and endings, plus proofreading and publication-readiness comments.
Notes
Prices are flat rates for short-form work and may adjust for unusually long or complex pieces. An optional final review or quick second pass after major revision is available at $50 per piece. All editing is completed in Microsoft Word using Track Changes and comments unless another format is arranged in advance.
