Meet Karen Krotzer

Karen Krotzer, from Manassas, Virginia, recently retired as an elementary school teacher. She grew up in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, began writing poems in the fourth grade, and knew by middle school she wanted to be a writer. Her work has appeared with Great Lakes Poetry Press, Hutton Publications (which nominated a poem for the Pushcart Prize), Local Gems Press, The RavensPerch, Retrograde Review, and The Miserere Review, among others. Most recently her poetry appeared in Grande Dame Literary & Art Journal, the Common Language Project: Time anthology, and internationally through the Creative Writing Academy of Greece. Her poem “Reflections” appears online in Top-Shelf’s Off the Page.
